Step 2
Create a free account and complete verification to unlock bidding. Tartami is approval-based to keep rooms trusted.
Step 3
Join live auctions, place increment-only bids, and follow clocks shown in East Africa Time (EAT).
Step 4
If you win, receive an invoice with payment and pickup instructions. Support stays available through completion.
Timing and rules
Auction and item schedules are shown in East Africa Time so every bidder shares the same reference. Live windows, soft-close extensions, and status labels stay visible in the room. You always know whether an auction is live, upcoming, or ended.
Payments and settlement
Winners receive an invoice with totals and instructions. Payment is typically completed offline (cash, bank transfer, or mobile money) per auction rules. When enabled for your invoice, online payment may be available through Stripe. Pickup and fulfillment details appear on the invoice and auction page.
Verification
Bidding requires a completed account activation path. Tartami reviews identity and eligibility so consignors and bidders share a credible room. Verification is private, structured, and designed to complete quickly on mobile.
